Software for understanding and controlling Windows.

I build tools for power analysis, system optimization, diagnostics and technical investigation.

  • Windows
  • Open source
  • Systems tooling
  • Software engineering

Software

Two open-source Windows tools, in public pre-alpha

Both are early, licensed under Apache-2.0, and built to be inspected: what they measure, what they change, and how to undo it. The source is public.

Power Forensics

Pre-alpha

Where did the watts go?

Power Forensics is not a battery-percentage readout and not an instantaneous wattage meter. It is built around sessions, controlled comparisons, attribution and measurement provenance, so a result can be questioned, reproduced and compared instead of merely trusted.

  • Windows 11 x64
  • Open source · Apache-2.0
  • Local analysis
  • Sessions
  • Experiments
  • Reports
Power Forensics Sessions view: recorded evidence from the session store, with state, duration, energy, coverage, markers and collectors per session.
Sessions: recorded evidence, with state, energy, coverage and collectors per session.

WinOptimizer

Pre-alpha

Windows optimization without mystery tweaks.

WinOptimizer groups maintenance into defined workflows, shows each change with a risk level before it runs, journals what it did, and reverses changes where the underlying operation supports it. No magic presets, no unverifiable speed claims.

  • Windows 10 / 11
  • WinOptimizer Free · Apache-2.0
  • Reversible where supported
  • Diagnostics
  • Optimization presets
  • System tooling

Clean Up: findings are grouped, risk-rated and reviewed before anything is removed.

Other work

Projects

Development work outside the two main products.

  • CarWiki Ingest

    Experimental

Research ingest backend that archives BMW diesel forum threads and extracts low-confidence technical claim candidates for review.

    Python · License: MIT

    No public repository
  • AMD Terrain Renderer

    Experimental

Capability-gated, client-only terrain renderer for Minecraft Java. It probes graphics capability and enables rendering features only when the hardware supports them.

    Java · Fabric

    No public repository
  • Screen Element Hover

    Experimental

Computer-vision tool that locates a user-selected on-screen interface element, finds the closest match, and moves the cursor to it.

    Python

    No public repository

Selected client work

Client work

A few commercial projects, kept below the software. Only outcomes that can be stated plainly are listed.

  • DetailingMobil

    Problem
An auto-detailing studio needed a fast, focused site that turned local search traffic into booking enquiries.
    What I built
A custom, performance-conscious marketing site with a clear service structure and a direct path to contact and booking.
    Result
    Live in production at detailingmobil.ro.
  • LimoBlackCTT

    Problem
A luxury chauffeur and transfer service needed quoting and booking that did not depend on a phone call.
    What I built
A booking flow with instant rate estimation and round-trip scheduling, backed by an admin area for managing vehicles and requests.
    Result
    Live in production at limoblackctt.ro.
  • CuratareMobila

    Problem
A sofa, mattress and carpet cleaning business serving Bucharest and Ilfov needed to be findable and credible locally.
    What I built
A mobile-first local service site with structured service and location information and a streamlined booking path.
    Result
    Live in production at curataremobila.ro.

Notes

Technical notes

Technical writing around actual engineering work: Windows internals, power measurement, diagnostics and the decisions behind the tools.

  1. Windows power telemetry

What the platform exposes about power draw, and where those numbers come from.

  2. ETW

Using Event Tracing for Windows to observe system behaviour without distorting it.

  3. Battery and energy analysis

Reading and interpreting battery and energy reports as evidence rather than a summary score.
