About

Viorel Zeciu

I build Windows software: power analysis, system optimization, diagnostics and technical investigation.

My work is mostly systems-level and desktop. It usually starts with a question about what a Windows machine is actually doing — how much power it is drawing and why, what changed after an update, which process is responsible for a slowdown — and ends with a tool that answers the question without hiding its reasoning.

I care more about whether a measurement can be trusted than whether it looks impressive. That is why the software is built around inspection: sessions with provenance, operations that are planned and verified, change journals, and undo where it is genuinely possible.

I publish software in public, document what it does, and keep the source available where I can. Alongside the products I take on selected client work, usually for small businesses that need something built properly rather than something complicated.

I work mainly in Rust, TypeScript and Python.
